as some one aged 58 and born and bred on the terrace .. and who moved out in the 60s due to the influx of the brummies . and could not get housing or job due to . how happy i am that it is now happening to them
what you sow you reap..hip hip haray .. how ever i do feel for the true born and bred from the area that once again its happening

Great news for Farewell last night (18th) – good for you guys. We mustn’t take our ‘eye off the ball’ though – Lichfield Council have clearly noted the 3000 plus objections but are still under pressure to provide those extra homes.
The good news to come from all this is the bond we have formed in our quest to protect Green Belt – the initial anger, the learning process and now a united force, Keep up the great work – Wind Turbines next ) Paul C – Burntwood and Hammerwich Colleagues

I have lived in Burntwood all my married life (now 59 yrs of age) and my biggest gripe is the lack of car parking facilities at Burntwood Island. There is never any space to park easily. Building more houses will only make it worse. Also I remember schools and hospitals being closed down to make way for houses. With more houses, where will the children from those houses go to school? Oh yes – build more schools!! Stop building more houses, and leave our countryside alone. After all, isn’t that why we moved here in the first place. Council greed is the only reason to build houses – more taxes etc. Let us “KEEP OUR VILLAGENESS”
